What the name change does and does not establish
The announcement introduced the Wise name as the company expanded beyond its original money-transfer focus. That history helps explain why old articles, receipts and links may use TransferWise. It does not make the prices or eligibility rules in a years-old article current. Rebrand background.
Treat a historical review as a report about a particular time, country and product. Before acting on it, identify those details. A reviewer’s successful transfer in one currency is not evidence that your local currency can fund the service today.
